Berks baseball roundup: Frandy Ruiz leads Reading High to five-inning win over Wilson
Frandy Ruiz went 3 for 4 with a triple, two runs scored and two runs batted in as Reading High blanked Wilson 11-0 in five innings on Thursday night at Owl’s Field. Winning pitcher Janser Paredes threw five scoreless innings for the Red Knights (8-9, 5-6 Division 1), striking out four and giving up seven hits. Also for Reading High, Samir Diaz Batista was 2 for 3 with a double and two RBIs, and Frank Adames was 2 for 4 with two RBIs.
Joset Pagan doubled, scored two runs and had an RBI. For Wilson (13-5, 9-2 Division 1), Jack Gabel had 2 hits, including a double. The Bulldogs, who still lead Division 1, have lost two straight, both games ending in the mercy rule.

He threw 92 pitches, 56 of them strikes. Reiter pitched the last two innings, giving up 2 hits and striking out 5. Charlie Ainge went 1 for 3 with 2 runs scored and 2 RBIs, and Ryan doubled and drove in 2 runs for the Mustangs (9-10, 6-5 Division 1).
