Penn State adds top-100 recruit from Class of 2027

There were some corners of the college football world that thought Matt Campbell would have trouble recruiting at Penn State as recent as a couple months ago. The Nittany Lions ’ new leader proved those people wrong by racking up 11 commitments over the span of a few weeks, and he has landed his newest prospect today. The recruiting run started with a few smaller commitments from three-star athletes, but as the school’s momentum grew and more players began agreeing to join the program, Campbell quickly started adding more talent to his future classes.

Thursday’s commitment followed that trend, coming from four-star Class of 2027 defensive lineman Stanley Montgomery. The Philadelphia native was first offered back in January and clearly it didn’t take much time at all for him to come to a decision. Montgomery, the No.
