Unfortunately for Boston Celtics fans, they're getting used to the sight of Jayson Tatum leaving a playoff game with an untimely injury. It happened when he suffered an ankle injury at the beginning of Game 7 of the 2023 Eastern Conference Finals, and again when he tore his Achilles tendon toward the end of Game 4 of the 2025 Eastern Conference Semifinals. This time, it happened during the third quarter of Game 6 against the Philadelphia 76ers on Thursday.
Not surprisingly, the Celtics lost all three games. Tatum, who missed most of the regular season recovering from his Achilles injury, was seen walking to the locker room with an apparent injury in the third quarter. Jayson Tatum headed to the locker room in the third quarter of Celtics-76ers Game 6.
