The Philadelphia 76ers forced a Game 7 in their first-round NBA playoff series versus the Boston Celtics with a 106-93 win on Thursday night at Xfinity Mobile Arena. That decisive game will be played Saturday night in Boston. Tyrese Maxey scored 30 points to lead all scorers, 21 of those in the first half, with five assists and two steals.
George finished with 23 points, scoring 10 points in the third quarter. On a night when the Sixers relied on the 3-pointer, George shot 5-for-8 from behind the arc while Maxey went 3-for-5. Philadelphia also nearly got a triple-double from Joel Embiid, who notched 19 points, 10 rebounds and eight assists.
VJ Edgecombe and Kelly Oubre Jr. each added 14 points and combined to grab 17 rebounds. 13-PT SECOND QUARTER.
