Bengals’ odd Trey Hendrickson saga dismissed by Duke Tobin
Bengals' Duke Tobin got asked about Trey Hendrickson on the Ravens.
Cincinnati Bengals director of player personnel Duke Tobin wanted nothing to do with the Trey Hendrickson questions. Tobin and his trio of assistant general managers have been refreshingly available to the public around the NFL draft . It’s a new era in Cincinnati, apparently.
Along the way, the Trey Hendrickson question was inevitable. The former All-Pro Bengals defender, after all, joined the AFC North-rival Baltimore Ravens in free agency. Tobin?
Consider the topic no-sold. “I don’t think much about that anymore,” Tobin said with a smile. “I’m moved to this year and what we have and looking forward to seeing Boye and Cashius and our news guys in our uniforms more than anything.
” It’s no secret things didn’t end on the best of terms between the Bengals and Hendrickson after years of contract squabbles. In fact, some of Hendrickson’s comments since joining the Ravens have caught the attention of fans. And while Hendrickson did give back to Cincinnati and Ted Karras , the years of drama, post-free-agency chatter and the fact he’s on an AFC North rival won’t have many fans being as nice as Tobin about the situation.
