Jorge Martínez “Aspar” has been a fixture of the Grand Prix racing sphere since 1982, first as a Grand Prix racer and then as racing team owner. An inductee to the MotoGP of Fame in 2019, Martínez is one of the most influential figures in the paddock. His latest venture: a racing academy to develop young racing talent from around the world.

An inductee to the MotoGP of Fame in 2019, Martínez is one of the most influential figures in the paddock. His latest venture: a racing academy to develop young racing talent from around the world.

The "Aspar Universe" builds upon various existing racing projects Martinez is leading, and provides a new holistic structure to help discover and develop the racers of tomorrow. The project has already been working with nearly 200 riders from 30 different countries (including two Americans), in various levels of racing from minibikes to PreMoto4 and Moto4 in the Spanish Championship, to the Stock European Championship, to the Moto2 World Championship. Just as important, the academy will also be a training ground for future racing mechanics through the Aspar KSB Technical Academy.

The first global motorcycling academy brings together all levels in the training of future riders, from minibikes in the MIR Racing Aspar Cup to the Moto3 and Moto2 World Championships, including the PreMoto4 and Moto4 categories in the Spanish Championship, as well as the Moto4 European Cup, the Moto3 Junior, the Moto2 and the Stock European Championships.

This sporting structure boasts nearly 200 riders from over 30 nationalities, demonstrating Jorge Martínez "Aspar's" commitment to both Spanish and international motorcycling. In addition to the two Spanish riders, the Colombian and the Argentinian competing in the World Championship, there is a Kyrgyz, an Italian, and a Spaniard in Moto3 Junior, two more Spaniards in the Moto4 European Cup, four more Spaniards and a French rider in the Moto2 and Stock European Championships with the TopSurface Aspar Team, and another Spaniard, a Chinese rider, and two Americans in the Spanish Championship. Furthermore, the MIR Racing Aspar Cup features riders from 32 nationalities, including countries such as Taiwan, Morocco, and Bolivia.
