FC Bayern isn’t the only club dealing with a spate of injuries

com/pacyiTntNZ — Bayern & Germany (@iMiaSanMia) April 29, 2026 Chevalier was in goal during the league phase showdown between the two teams, which ended in a 2-1 win for the Bavarians. For PSG, it will be without Achraf Hakimi (hamstring) for the second leg while Fabián Ruiz is similarly way off the pace having just come back from injury. The Spaniard is likely going to be given a starting berth next week.

Bayern is fresh off a 5-4 defeat to the Parisians in the first leg and the match was immediately praised for its nonstop action, but one thing that can’t be praised is Bayern’s worryingly light bench. Several of its first team players are either out injured or still working their way back to fitness. It is therefore imperative that the Rekordmeister must manage its remaining fit players while waiting for much welcome reinforcement in the form of Lennart Karl and Tom Bischof who are making their recoveries from their respective injuries.
