Tyrone Broden is switching positions with the Seattle Seahawks. According to The Athletic's Michael-Shawn Dugar, Broden will switch from wide receiver to cornerback as a rookie in 2026. The Seahawks signed Broden as an undrafted free agent in 2026.
The Michigan native at wide receiver for Bowling Green and Arkansas . Broden amassed 1,505 receiving yards and 16 receiving touchdowns playing for Bowling Green from 2019-22, as well as Arkansas from 2023-24. Seattle has an abundance of cornerbacks on their roster at the present.
The Seahawks went with three cornerbacks in the 2026 NFL Draft with their selections of Arkansas CB Julian Neal (No. 99 overall), Toledo CB Andre Fuller (No. 236 overall), and Arizona CB Michael Dansby (No.
255 overall). Broden is now set to compete with his fellow rookie teammates for time at cornerback in Seattle's secondary next season behind returning starters Devon Witherspoon and Josh Jobe. In addition to switching positions, Broden is also switching jersey numbers.
