Georgia football secures commitment from 5-star 'freak' tight end
Georgia football landed a third 5-star prospect for its 2027 recruiting class. This one is a tight end that also considered Notre Dame and Miami.
Georgia football wrapped up spring practices looking stacked at tight end. The Bulldogs took a big step for their future at the position on Thursday when 5-star 2027 tight end Jaxon Dollar announced his commitment to the Bulldogs. The 6-foot-5, 225-pound Dollar plays for East Lincoln High in Dallas, N.
C. , outside of Charlotte. He picked the Bulldogs over Notre Dame and Miami in an announcement on CBS Sports HQ.
“Physcially, he’s kind of a freak,” East Lincoln coach David Lubowicz told the Athens Banner-Herald. “He’s really explosive. He’s an explosive athlete that has really soft hands and does a good job on contested balls.
I don’t know if I’ve ever not seen him catch a 50-50 ball. ” Dollar grew up around the game with two older brothers who like him played basketball and football at the school. “He understands what he needs to do and when he needs to do it,” Lubowicz said.
