FC Barcelona is looking for both revenge and the chance to wrap up the La Liga title against Osasuna this weekend.

Barca currently top La Liga by 11 points, and can secure a third title in four years by first doing their part in beating Osasuna.

There’s more to the story, though, in that they also need crosstown rival Espanyol to do them a favour by beating arch nemesis Real Madrid at the RCDE Stadium on Sunday. Espanyol managed that last term with a 1-0 win over Carlo Ancelotti’s men. But they might be reluctant to help out Hansi Flick and Co though they harbour slim European qualification hopes with five games to spare.

If Barca and Espanyol both win, however, the former will indeed head to streets for a party parade with their fans . Just like it did in 2023 and 2025, an open bus will leave the Spotify Camp Nou and make its way through the city until terminating at the Arc de Triomf. Recent history hasn’t been kind to Barca in that they lost 4-2 to Osasuna the last time they faced them in El Sadar back in September 2024.

It isn’t often that the home side manages to pull off such a victory, however, and you’d have to go back to 2011/2012 to find another win against Blaugrana visitors. In that 2024 loss, Lamine Yamal and Raphinha were both substitutes and won’t be available in unison again this time round. Lamine is out for the rest of the season with a hamstring knock, while the same injury meant Raphinha sat out both legs of a 4-3 aggregate defeat to Atletico Madrid in the Champions League quarterfinals this month.
