Texas A&M has offered the brother of Charlotte Hornets star rookie

Texas A&M has offered the brother of Charlotte Hornets star Kon Knueppel, as four-star PF Kager Knueppel is now being heavily pursued by the Aggies.

Texas A&M head coach Bucky McMillan and his veteran staff entered the 2026 offseason with a clear focus on rebuilding a roster that was always expected to lose most of the starting lineup and a bulk of the bench, including star forward Rashaun Agee, who led the Aggies in scoring and rebounds during his one and only season. As soon as the Transfer Portal opened in early April, McMillan went to work, adding former Kansas State star shooting guard PJ Haggerty , who averaged nearly 24 points per game with the Wildcats, will immediately fill the role as the program's go-to scoring option, while the news that former NBA G-League guard Bryson Warren has signed with the program further boosted the Aggies' expectations in the backcourt. Combined with adding LSU transfer guard Jalen Reece, who is one of the up-and-coming playmakers in the SEC, McMillan has slowly but surely added depth, while Radford transfer guard Lukas Walls has familiarity with McMillan's system during his time at Samford.

However, the returning players, including forwards Mackenzie Mgbako , Jamie Vinson, and Zach Clemence, are equally critical to the transfer additions, and after landing LMU transfer forward Jalen Shelley , Texas A&M is likely one forward away from completing the 2026-2027 roster. In the 2027 recruiting class, McMillan has already landed a commitment from blue-chip four-star shooting guard Chase Richardson, and, as of Wednesday, the Aggies have reportedly extended an offer to the brother of current Charlotte Hornets star rookie Kon Kneuppel, as four-star forward Kager Knueppel has already received multiple offers, including Purdue, Wisconsin, and, of course, Duke, where his brother played. Here is Knueppel's scoring line during his junior season at Wisconsin Lutheran: 16.
