Four fixtures across less than two weeks have been confirmed so far, two in Sydney, then one in Hong Kong, and lastly one in Jakarta. vs.
Western Sydney Wanderers — Tuesday 28 July — Accor Stadium, Sydney, Australia vs. Tottenham Hotspur — Saturday 1 August — Accor Stadium, Sydney, Australia vs. Juventus — Wednesday 5 August — Kai Tak Stadium, Hong Kong vs.
AC Milan — Saturday 8 August — GBK Stadium Jakarta, Indonesia The last time Chelsea played in Australia was at the start of the Maurizio Sarri era, back in 2018. We also played a post-season friendly there as Premier League champions under José Mourinho Mk. II in 2015.
It was also under Mourinho that we last visited Jakarta, beating a local all-stars selection, 8-1, in 2013, while the last time we showed up in Hong Kong was back in 2011 under the guise of the “Premier League Asia Trophy”, which we’d end up winning under André Villas-Boas. So all these visits are long overdue, though doing so in a World Cup year is not exactly ideal. The 2026-27 season is set to start on August 22, so there may be room for another friendly at the Bridge as well.
