One Jaguars' selection in draft makes ESPN's list of 'best picks'
One of the Jaguars' selections was listed among the "best picks" by ESPN in the 2026 NFL draft.
Just one of the Jacksonville Jaguars' 10 selections in the 2026 NFL draft made Matt Miller's list over at ESPN of his 100 favorite picks. Most draft analysts were underwhelmed with the Jaguars ' draft class, but many, including Miller, also believe that landing offensive lineman Emmanuel Pregnon in the third round was one of the better selections made by a team in this year's draft. Pregnon was the 88th pick in this draft, but he was the 41st-ranked player on the consensus big board .
Jaguars' Emmanuel Pregnon among favorite 2026 NFL draft picks On Miller's rankings, Pregnon came in at No. 29. "He had some late Round 1 buzz in the predraft process and fills an immediate need at right guard," Miller wrote.
"Pregnon's beauty is his versatility, given his 12 starts at right guard at Wyoming and 39 starts at left guard at USC and Oregon. Pregnon is one of the most likely third-rounders to start as a rookie. " The addition of Pregnon provides immediate competition at either guard position.
After the Jaguars embraced competition along the offensive line last summer, there is no reason to believe they won't do it again. A priority for Liam Coen this offseason is on improving the run game, which was inconsistent during the second half of last season. Adding Pregnon's size to the mix could be a part of that equation.
