A bid from Juventus could very well be imminent.

However, the Brazilian custodian wants to be respectful of Liverpool and will leave the decision in the club’s hands if a formal transfer offer is submitted by the Turin club. The club had previously triggered an extension in March, extending Alisson’s contract to the summer of 2027.

Perhaps Liverpool may be tempted to cash in on Ali, but with just a year left on his deal, that fee won’t really be that significant. Liverpool will already be losing two veteran leaders, Andy Robertson and Mohamed Salah, so perhaps that will come into play as well. Alisson has long been a key part of the leadership group, often helping integrate new South American signings at the club.

Club captain Virgil van Dijk spoke to Liverpool Echo journalist Ian Doyle about the Alisson links: “Everyone can feel a certain way about it. There are rumours but if there is anything concrete then we will all find out. But for me, I’m never worried.
