Notre Dame Football Recruiting Update: Big commitment announcements are on the way
A very exciting two weeks are on deck for Notre Dame and its 2027 football recruiting class.
The Notre Dame football recruiting machine is working hard to secure another top class. The Irish are in the mix for some of the best players in the country, and a handful of those players are going to be announcing their decisions very soon. The next two weeks hold a lot of potential for Notre Dame, so here’s what’s going on… TE Jaxon Dollar — 4-Star Jaxon Dollar is the top tight end on Notre Dame’s recruiting board, and there are multiple predictions for the Irish to get his commitment on Thursday this week when he announces.

DE Aidan O’Neil — 4-Star Aidan O’Neil is a player that has gone about the early part of the recruiting process pretty quietly. O’Neil plays for one of the best high school football programs in New Jersey (Don Bosco Prep), and he’s ranked as the third best player in the state. When you watch this kid play, he jumps out as a player that would be a good fit at Notre Dame — even the name is right out of central casting.
O’Neil is going to announce his commitment this Friday 10 AM on CBS CFB YouTube channel, and will choose between Notre Dame, Kentucky, and Penn State. He has visited all three programs this spring, and he is predicted to pick Notre Dame. QB Wonderful “Champ” Monds — 4-Star Champ Monds was the top quarterback in the 2028 recruiting class, but recently reclassified to the 2027 class.
