BLOOMINGTON, Ill. (WMBD/WYZZ) — The Bison are still alive in the ECHL playoffs. Chongmin Lee scored with just over five minutes left in regulation to give the Bison their first lead in the series.

His goal late in the third period lifted Bloomington past Toledo, 5-3, in game four of their opening round series at Grossinger Motors Arena on Wednesday. Toledo still owns a 3-1 lead in the series with game five in Bloomington Thursday night. Nikita Sedov added an empty-net goal with 0:36 remaining for the 5-3 final score.

Bloomington, which joined the ECHL last year, earned its first ever playoff victory after dropping the first three games in this best-of-seven series. The Bison trailed 3-1 in the second period before Ayden MacDonald and Grant Porter scored goals to even the game heading into the third. Copyright 2026 Nexstar Media, Inc.
