Rosenior is the second head coach to leave Stamford Bridge this season following the departure of Enzo Maresca in January. Kaveh Solekhol on Cesc Fabregas and Chelsea Calum McFarlane has been placed in interim charge for the remainder of the season, whilst the sporting directors conduct their search for a new head coach. David Ornstein believes there will be an appointment early in the summer, and Chelsea are in the preliminary stages of reaching out to potential candidates.
There’s understood to be seven or eight names under consideration, with Andoni Iraola and Marco Silva said to be two of those. Fabregas is a name supporters would like to see get the job, but he’s insisted he’d be stupid to think about anything other than finishing the season with Como. Como’s president has said Fabregas is free to go to Chelsea if he wishes and Solhekol and has provided an update on the Spaniard.
“Cesc Fabregas, what I’ve been told, there’s some kind of suggestion that long-term, the plan for him is to manage Arsenal one day,” he told Sky Sports as quoted on X. com. “I’m not sure moving to Chelsea would be part of his career progression.
