Spartanburg RB Lynch pondering numerous college offers
Spartanburg High rising senior Trenton Lynch is one of three high-level running backs in the county entering his senior season (along with Byrnes’ Tre Segarra and Woodruff’s Aiden Gibson) and he’s getting similar attention to the other two. Lynch, who carried for 1,204 yards in 10 games a year ago while limited somewhat by injury, has received 14 FBS offers ranging from Power Four schools like Rutgers, Syracuse, Boston College, Wake Forest, Maryland, and Cincinnati to G5 schools Appalachian State, Coastal Carolina, Georgia Southern, East Carolina, Liberty, and Charlotte. He hopes to have a decision at some point in June so that he can focus on his senior season with the Vikings.
He’ll enter the campaign with 2,867 career rushing yards and needs 1,151 to break Carney Norris’ Spartan High record of 4,017 established in the ’70s. Copyright 2026 Nexstar Media, Inc. All rights reserved.
