49ers draft pick is willing to move to new position in the NFL
The San Francisco 49ers took a player in the fourth round that's probably moving positions now that he's in the NFL.
The San Francisco 49ers were slated to only have six picks in the 2026 NFL draft, but after several trades, they added eight players throughout the seven rounds over the course of three days. Among those players that San Francisco took is Washington offensive tackle Carver Willis, who spent five seasons at Kansas State before finishing up his collegiate career with one year playing for the Huskies. While Willis started 27 games at right tackle over the last three games, he's ready to move if necessary.
"Yeah, that's something every team talked to me about. So yeah, I'm happy to do it no matter where they need me on the line," Willis said. "I've kind of said this whole time.
I just want a shot in a playbook, and anywhere they need me on the line, I'm game. But every team talked about interior. " Willis is looking at the prospect of moving inside positively.
"Yeah, I knew it was probably going to happen," Willis said. "I didn't take any offense by it. There's a lot of guys that have done it before me.
