A well-known media personality believes the Kansas City Chiefs should bring back a beloved receiver this offseason

Chiefs predicted to reunite Patrick Mahomes with eight-time Pro Bowl WR, fan favorite originally appeared on The Sporting News . Add The Sporting News as a Preferred Source by clicking here . The Kansas City Chiefs are coming off their worst season in years.

The Chiefs, who have won three of the last seven Super Bowls, finished the 2025-26 campaign with a below-average 6-11, lost Patrick Mahomes to an ACL injury late in the year, didn't receive high-level production from their wide receivers, and missed the postseason. Could the Chiefs' lackluster campaign motivate them to execute a blockbuster free agent signing for an eight-time All-Pro WR and fan favorite who's already established chemistry with Mahomes in Kansas City? FS1's Nick Wright thinks so.

"I think he's (Tyreek Hill) definitely worth a flier," Wright said Tuesday. "I mean, he and Andry Reid have a relationship. He and Mahomes have a relationship.

And there's a chance that a catastrophic knee injury undid Tyreek Hill as an effective NFL player, so I won't be interested in giving him a long, big-money deal. " "I don't think Tyreek Hill, at this point in his career, should be anybody's number 1 receiver until you see him after the injury, but if he's gonna play next year, I'd imagine it would be for the Chiefs, and I told you guys three years ago that I thought, in 2026, Tyreek Hill would be a Kansas City Chief. " Breerโ€™s assessment of Hill and his chances of returning to the Chiefs for his second stint is as honest as it gets.
