Following the 2026 NFL Draft, the Denver Broncos took to the undrafted free-agent process and the team added 14 new players to the roster .
But the Broncos were looking for more. As detailed by Chris Tomasson of The Denver Gazzette , the Broncos were interested in signing a pair of former Colorado Buffaloes, wide receiver Sincere Brown and defensive lineman Anquin Barnes. However, Brown took a contract from the Los Angeles Chargers and Barnes opted to sign with the New York Giants .
Luca Evans of The Denver Post also reported that the team was looking at Penn State linebacker Dom DeLuca picked the Baltimore Ravens over the Broncos. Brown came to Colorado from South Florida after missing the 2023 and 2024 seasons. He caught 22 passes for 376 yards and two touchdowns for the Buffaloes last season.
Barnes came from Alabama and was used as a run stuffer at Colorado. He had 34 tackles and one interception in two seasons with the team. DeLuca was at Penn State from 2021-25 and racked up 164 tackles, 4.
