Dodgers trade for Tyler Fitzgerald weeks after Giants give up on him

The Los Angeles Dodgers traded for the former SF Giant, almost ensuring he’ll become an All-Star in Dodger Blue.

He fell off so badly that the Giants traded last season’s primary second baseman to the Toronto Blue Jays in early April.

But now Fitzgerald is ready to revive his career with one simple change: He’s been traded to the Los Angeles Dodgers. The Dodgers acquired IF/OF Tyler Fitzgerald from the Toronto Blue Jays for cash considerations. To make room on the 40-man roster, the Dodgers transferred RHP Landon Knack to the 60-day injured list.
