Colts' free agent and former draft pick signs with Vikings
An Indianapolis Colts free agent and former draft pick has signed with the Vikings.
Indianapolis Colts' free agent defensive tackle, and former draft pick, has been signed by the Minnesota Vikings , the team announced . It is reportedly a one-year deal for Johnson. Johnson was a fifth-round pick by the Colts in the 2022 NFL draft.
After spending his first two seasons in Indianapolis, Johnson was released during roster cutdowns in 2024 and was then claimed on waivers by the Patriots, where he spent that season. Johnson was then released by New England in May of the 2025 season and was claimed by the Colts, rejoining Indianapolis for last season. He would appear in 12 games with the Colts in 2025, filling a rotational role.
