and Anfernee Jennings as veteran additions to round out the roster. But, aside from free agent additions, the Saints might be eyeing some trades to further complete the roster. One of those moves could even include trading away a player, as was the rumor on Wednesday with safety Justin Reid.

@Gordon_Hultz on Twitter/x spread a rumor that the Philadelphia Eagles had engaged in trade talks with the Saints about Reid. But the Saints' safety responded to the rumor , shutting down those rumors, and calling them "fabricated hearsay. @Gordon_Hultz posted the following: "The Eagles have engaged in trade talks with the Saints for veteran safety Justin Reid. " While the Eagles could use a starting safety, and they might go out and sign or trade for a starter, there's been no indication that Reid is an option, let alone a trade candidate at all this offseason. Reid himself is now shutting down those trade rumors, as the two-time Super Bowl champion seemingly has no plans on leaving the Saints in a trade this offseason.
