Louis. This will be Emmet Sheehan’s first career start in St. Louis, and his second career start against the Cardinals.
He struck out five and allowed two unearned runs in five innings in a win last August 5 at Busch Stadium. Left-hander Matthew Liberatore starts for the Cardinals. The Dodgers are 5-1 in games started by left-handed starting pitching opponents this season, but Friday will mark just the third time in the last 16 games they’ve faced a southpaw to start.
