Former LeBron James Finals foe Bruce Bowen delivered a harsh assessment of where he believes the 41-year-old ranks among the all-time greats.
In a recent appearance on Fan Duel's Run It Back, Bowen said he does believe James is a five-time player of all-time. "With LeBron, he left Cleveland and got a championship. I know people are going to say, 'He has a championship in Cleveland,' but he left is my whole point," Bowen said .
"He left when it was adverse, and not to say that he doesn't deal with adversity, but MJ [Michael Jordan] didn't leave when Scottie [Pippen] had that ice pack on his neck. He [Jordan] continued to work out, he believed in the process,and he weathered the storm. With that, I'm going to always have to go on that side.
" LeBron James' accolades speak for themselves The five players that Bowen has ahead of James are Jordan, Kobe Bryant, Tim Duncan, Bill Russell and Magic Johnson. James has the resume and accolades to not only be in the top-five, but has an argument for the greatest of all time. The Ohio native is a four-time NBA champion, four-time NBA MVP, four-time Finals MVP, is the all-time leading scorer (regular season and playoffs), a 22-time All-Star, a 21-time All-NBA and a member of the NBA 75th Anniversary team.
