He hadn't hit for power since joining the New York Mets -- and even his singles hitting was limited. But then the departed Toronto Blue Jays infielder found the perfect medicine. On the mound for the Washington Nationals was Zach Littell.
Entering the night, Littell had allowed 11 home runs already this season. Bichette led off the bottom of the first, and he didn't waste any time. The first pitch was a fastball out over the plate.
Bichette swung and connected. He roped an opposite-field home run on the first pitch Littell threw. Talk about finding a way to make yourself feel better.
