Multiple members of the Philadelphia 76ers single out Quentin Grimes after a season-saving road win over the Boston Celtics.
BOSTON -- In the NBA Playoffs, teams always need a role player to step up and produce in order to turn the tide in any series. The Philadelphia 76ers might have found that player in the form of Quentin Grimes. Grimes was fantastic in Tuesday's 113-97 Game 5 win over the Boston Celtics .
The 5-year guard out of Houston scored 18 points and knocked down four big 3-pointers to help the Sixers get the job done. Philadelphia doesn't win this game without his production on a big night off the bench. "It's huge, man," Tyrese Maxey said.
"We know we need Q. We know we needed Q all season. He's been good all season.
He's done a good job of just playing his role, sticking with it. He's had multiple roles. He started, he came off the bench, but tonight, he just did a good job of just defending.
