The tight end has been selected as the 2026 inductee into the Patriots Hall of Fame, the team announced Wednesday. A second-round pick in the 2010 NFL Draft, Gronkowski spent nine seasons in New England, becoming one of the most productive and decorated players in franchise history. He appeared in 115 regular season games, recording 521 receptions for 7,861 yards and 79 touchdowns.

He added 81 catches for 1,163 yards and 12 touchdowns in 16 playoff games, while winning three of his four total Super Bowls — he later won another ring as a Buccaneer in 2020. A five-time Pro Bowler and four-time All-Pro selection, Gronkowski is also a member of the Patriots’ All-Dynasty Team and the 2010s All-Decade Team. His résumé has long fueled the argument that he is the greatest tight end in NFL history, and he is widely expected to earn induction into the Pro Football Hall of Fame.

“Rob Gronkowski’s performance on the field was extraordinary, but it was his infectious energy and consistently positive presence that truly set him apart,” said Patriots Chairman and CEO Robert Kraft said in a statement. “He always brightened everyone’s day. He earned the respect of coaches and teammates through his work ethic, preparation and unselfish approach, while redefining what it meant to play his position.
