If Simone Biles doesn’t compete in the 2028 Olympics, the event just won’t be the same. After all, fans want to see the very best in the world compete on the biggest stage and the 11-time Olympic medalist is most certainly in that category. So, it’s exciting to find out that Biles is indeed thinking about having another go at it in the 2028 Olympics, which would be especially awesome because it takes place in Los Angeles.
“I feel like we’re still at a 50-50 and that we’re still on a time crunch here now it’s almost half of 2026,” Biles told CNN’s Aleks Klosok while down in Madrid, Spain, for the Laureus World Sports Awards. “We’re going to have to make these decisions pretty quickly. ” Timing is everything for Biles’ decision because of the time needed to prepare, and she’s up against the clock.
The Los Angeles games, which will begin on July 14, 2028, are almost exactly two years away. So, what’s the biggest hurdle the legendary gymnast has to clear in order to confirm her participation? “Mental health plays a big role in it because, physically, my coaches will get me in shape,” she said.
“I can get myself in shape. We believe in that ability. We’re really thankful that I’m still healthy.
