NASCAR reveals status of Kyle Busch's No. 8 car at R&D Center
NASCAR has revealed the status of Kyle Busch's No. 8 car for Richard Childress Racing at the RD Center after Talladega Superspeedway in April 2026.
NASCAR took Kyle Busch's No. 8 car to the R&D Center after the Cup Series race at Talladega Superspeedway. Following a strong run at Talladega, the sport had a closer inspection of Busch's vehicle; however, did the Richard Childress Racing driver receive any penalties?
Busch's No. 8 car had no issues at the NASCAR R&D Center, which is the best result from further inspection. In previous years, NASCAR has found issues that cost a race team and driver over 100 points and more, so Busch receiving the green light is excellent news.
Going into Texas Motor Speedway, Busch sits 27th in the point standings with a 66-point deficit to the Chase bubble with 16 races left in the NASCAR regular season. The driver of the No. 8 Chevrolet for Richard Childress Racing hopes to carry his momentum into Texas, as the organization looks for more speed in 2026.
