The Braves' pitching staff has been in flux all season, with nine different pitchers on the injured list. Carrasco, 39, made one appearance for the Braves this season, throwing one inning and striking out one against the Washington Nationals on April 23. A veteran of 17 major league seasons, Carrasco also made three appearances for the Braves in 2025 after having his contract purchased from the New York Yankees .
