The Braves' pitching staff has been in flux all season, with nine different pitchers on the injured list. The Atlanta Braves reinstate Dylan Lee and DFA Carlos Carrasco According to a press release by the Braves on X, left-hander Dylan Lee was reinstated from the paternity list on Wednesday. To clear a spot for Lee’s return, the Braves designated right-hander Carlos Carrasco for assignment.
Carrasco, 39, made one appearance for the Braves this season, throwing one inning and striking out one against the Washington Nationals on April 23. A veteran of 17 major league seasons, Carrasco also made three appearances for the Braves in 2025 after having his contract purchased from the New York Yankees . If not, Carrasco will either accept his assignment to Triple-A Gwinnett or ask to be granted his release to find other major league opportunities. Lee, 31, has been manager Walt Weiss’s best left-handed arm in the bullpen this season.
