NASCAR reveals status of Zane Smith's No. 38 car at R&D Center
NASCAR has revealed the status of Zane Smith's No. 38 car for Front Row Motorsports at the RD Center after Talladega Superspeedway in April 2026.
NASCAR took Zane Smith's No. 38 car to the R&D Center after the Cup Series race at Talladega Superspeedway. Following a strong run at Talladega, the sport had a closer inspection of Smith's vehicle; however, did the Front Row Motorsports driver receive any penalties?
Smith's No. 38 car had no issues at the NASCAR R&D Center, which is the best result from further inspection. In previous years, NASCAR has found issues that cost a race team and driver over 100 points and more, so Smith receiving the green light is excellent news.
Going into Texas Motor Speedway, Smith sits 20th in the point standings with a 43-point deficit to the Chase bubble with 16 races left in the NASCAR regular season. The driver of the No. 38 Ford for Front Row Motorsports hopes to carry his momentum into Texas, as the organization looks for more speed in 2026.
