A former All-Pro safety for the Denver Broncos is calling it a career. Simmons made the announcement via a video shared by the Broncos on social media on Wednesday: โBeing a Denver Bronco was more than just a team. It was my heart, my home and my story.

The Broncos made him the 98th overall pick in the 2016 NFL Draft out of Boston College. He ended up intercepting 30 passes in eight seasons with Denver, and he made it to two Pro Bowls. Simmons left the Broncos after the 2023 season and played for the Atlanta Falcons in 2024, intercepting a pair of passes in 16 games.
