Logan Paul interested in Tommy Fury vs Eddie Hall despite huge size gap
Photo by Patrick Khachfe/Getty Images Logan Paul stopped short of making a clear pick between Tommy Fury and Eddie Hall when he was asked about the fight during WrestleMania week. Paul, now holding WWE gold, has a long-standing connection to Fury through his brother Jake, with their rivalry culminating in a high-profile bout last year. Fury has only fought twice since then, picking up wins over KSI and Kenan Hanjalic across three years.
Fury is set to face four-time World’s Strongest Man Hall back in the UK on June 13, with Hall potentially outweighing him by up to 120 pounds. The Paul family will be keeping an eye on it, especially with talk of a possible rematch between Tommy and Jake starting to build again. Smith appeared on Logan Paul’s Impaulsive podcast, and the episode was released today. The two covered a range of topics, one of which was the upcoming fight between Eddie Hall and Tommy Fury. Smith admitted he wasn’t too familiar with the Misfits Boxing event, which features an undercard that includes an adult film star, a former biker gang member, and the ‘Ibiza Final Boss’.
But Paul seemed intrigued by the matchup. Paul described it as a ‘spectacle fight,’ adding that he’s genuinely interested in how it will play out. “So Tommy Fury, Tyson’s little brother, is fighting Eddie Hall the former World’s Strongest Man who is probably 350-400lb and can deadlift 1,000lb.
“I don’t think most people will ever meet someone in their life who is as strong as this individual. So I am actually curious what’s going to happen in a fight like that… This guy is actually not bad at boxing, Eddie Hall has been training boxing. ” Smith acknowledged that while Fury has solid fundamentals and good speed with his jab, he doesn’t have much power.
