The move continues the rollercoaster of options for Fuentes, who was recalled last week before being optioned to Triple-A Gwinnett again.
The #Braves today recalled RHP Didier Fuentes to Atlanta and placed LHP Dylan Lee on the paternity list. Additionally, INF Ha-Seong Kim tonight begins a rehabilitation assignment with Double-A Columbus. — Atlanta Braves (@Braves) April 28, 2026 In three appearances so far this season, Fuentes has not proven to be spectacular.
He’s got a 5. 00 ERA through nine innings of work. However, his return gives Atlanta a fresh arm in the bullpen while Dylan Lee is away, and another shot to show he can provide value at the major league level.
The Braves will certainly miss Lee, who has already appeared in 14 games and allowed just two runs on six hits. Fortunately, his absence is expected to be short-term, and Atlanta’s bullpen will regain one of its most reliable arms soon.
