Former Georgia LB signs UDFA deal with the Raiders
Former Georgia Bulldogs and Arkansas Razorbacks linebacker Xavian Sorey Jr. has signed with an AFC West team
Former Georgia Bulldogs linebacker Xavian Sorey Jr. has found an NFL home after going undrafted in the 2026 NFL draft . Sorey has signed an undrafted free agent deal with the Las Vegas Raiders.
In Las Vegas, Sorey will be reunited with two of his former Georgia teammates. He joins linebackers Quay Walker and Nakobe Dean, who both signed free agent contracts with the Raiders this offseason, in Las Vegas. Most recently, Sorey posted 81 tackles, 2 1/2 sacks, a forced fumble and an interception during the 2025 college football season.
However, despite Sorey having some impressive counting stats, the Arkansas defense was among the SEC's worst. Sorey played past two seasons with the Arkansas Razorbacks after leaving Georgia via the transfer portal. Sorey posted at least 80 tackles, an interception and two sacks during both of his seasons with the Razorbacks.
The 6-foot-3, 230-pound linebacker was a team captain at Arkansas in 2025. He will hope to make the Raiders' 53-man roster. Follow UGA Wire on Instagram or Threads for more Georgia NFL draft coverage!
