Lady Vols earn 33rd NCAA Tournament tennis appearance

Lady Vols will face Old Dominion in the NCAA Tournament first round.

Tennessee women's tennis (13-9, 8-7 SEC) earned its 33rd NCAA Tournament berth in program history. The Lady Vols will compete in the Durham Regional, hosted by Duke . Tennessee will face Old Dominion in the first round on Friday in Durham, North Carolina.

"I'm thrilled," Tennessee head coach Alison Ojeda said. "Old Dominion is a very talented team, it will be great to go up against them and work to win that match. Then to go up against Duke, another very talented team, I love it.

" The Lady Vols enter NCAA Tournament play with a 13-9 record. "This team, at every single spot, just needs to show up and be as good as they can be," Ojeda said. "We need to go out there and compete at every single spot, and if we can do that, then, then we can make a good run.
