Teams around Major League Baseball are likely already putting together a list of guys who could be traded at the deadline.

One of them is right-hander Sandy Alcantara, as many have suggested over the past few years, that the Miami Marlins ace could be moved at any given moment. It's not the easiest thing to get a feel for how the Marlins feel, as they sit in second place in the National League East and have shown some promise over the past year or so. There have been times when the Marlins have proven that they can be a very good team and one that needs to be taken seriously in the division.

Unfortunately, though, moving on from Alcantara might not be the worst idea, even if it makes the Los Angeles Dodgers a better team. Miami receives Andy Pages, Zyhir Hope Los Angeles receives: Alcantara โ€œIn the proposed deal, the Dodgers mortgage two young players for a seasoned veteran on the mound. Alcantara is dealt to Los Angeles for a package of Andy Pages and Zyhir Hope.

Pages is in his third season, and presents a reliable right-handed bat for the Marlins to help balance their offensive lineup,โ€ Ethen Hutton of SI wrote . From the Dodgers' perspective, it's almost unfair to suggest that this trade would even make that much sense for them. Not to say that Alcantara wouldn't be the best player traded in this deal, but Pages has been one of the more impressive young players in baseball, and Hope has a real opportunity of being a star one day.
