The Minnesota Vikings are projected to take an SEC offensive lineman in a way-too-early 2027 NFL Mock Draft.

The Minnesota Vikings addressed the defensive line with two of their top three picks in the 2026 NFL Draft. Could they answer that by addressing the offensive side of the line in next year's draft? Cooper Petanga of CBS Sports made his own self-proclaimed Way-too-early 2027 NFL mock draft.

He has the Vikings addressing the offensive line with the 12th pick, taking LSU tackle Jordan Seaton. "Armed with 22 career starts, Seaton will play his next season under Lane Kiffin in Baton Rouge after transferring fromย Colorado," Petanga wrote of Seaton. "A highly skilled, athletic offensive tackle, some evaluators believe he could ultimately transition to the right side to ease his move to Sundays.

While the talent is evident, he remains far from a finished product. " There are a few things to unpack here. First, the Vikings' drafting 12th overall could lead to major front office changes, as they'd be missing the playoffs for a second straight year.

Second, drafting Seaton could mean replacing right tackle Brian O'Neill, who will be a free agent, or replacing Christian Darrisaw if he again doesn't appear fully comfortable after his ACL tear in 2024. Of course, fans will want Minnesota to pick later in the draft. But with O'Neill set to turn 31 this September, the offensive line could be a target no matter where the Vikings pick.
