The Boston Celtics were expected to close this first round series out against the Philadelphia 76ers but fate had other plans. Joel Embiid played his heart out despite injuries and Tyrese Maxey blazed up to keep their season alive. By the end of Game 5, the 76ers had won with an insane 113-97 score and another shot to extend the series at home.
Embiid & Maxey get big NBA Playoffs numbers vs. Celtics To start off, Tyrese Maxey was the steady hand that the 76ers back court needed. Coach Nick Nurse made him play 43 minutes and it paid off.
Maxey scored 25 points by knocking down 55. 56% of his field goal attempts and going 30% from three-point range. He also dropped five assists to keep the 76ers' offensive momentum infectious.
