Joel Klatt names program that is the biggest NFL factory right now
Ohio State football has sent a ton of players to the NFL over the last few years. Fox's Joel Klatt is ready with a superlative for the program.
It was another banner year for the Ohio State football program when it comes to the NFL draft . The Buckeyes had more players selected in Pittsburgh than any other (11) and tied the two-year record for most players going in the draft with 25 total. And it's not just the last two years that OSU has been a mainstay in seeing players with Scarlet and Gray in their wardrobe march across the stage; it's been going on for years now.
However, Fox's Joel Klatt believes Ohio State is at the pinnacle of its existence in sending players to the draft and is ready to crown the Buckeyes the NFL draft factory. "Right now, the draft factory, the NFL draft factory of college football, is Ohio State," Klatt said. "In the last two drafts -- obviously, they've got a national championship in there -- but they've gotten eight players drafted in the first round.
Eight! They've got 14 players drafted in the first two rounds in the last two drafts, and 25 total players drafted in the last two drafts. That's wild.
That's staggering. In fact, that's tied for the most players ever for one school to be drafted in back-to-back drafts. So right now, the school churning out the most talent, the factory for the National Football League, lives in Columbus, Ohio.
