Sean Strickland: I will shoot Khamzat Chimaev if he jumps me
Sean Strickland threatens to gun violence against Khamzat Chimaev and his team if they try to jump him during UFC 328 fight week.
LAS VEGAS – Sean Strickland just upped the danger ahead of his grudge match against Khamzat Chimaev , as he's now threatened to shoot the UFC middleweight champion and his team should they attack him during their fight week for UFC 329. Strickland issued a serious warning, speaking to MMA Junkie and other reporters during his open workout promoting his upcoming title fight with Chimaev in the main event of UFC 328 on May 9 in Newark, N. J.
In the build-up to the fight, Chimaev said he would expect Strickland to "run away" if he and his team tried to "jump" him. In response, Strickland says he'll stand his ground and shoot anyone who tries. "What I'm going to do is pull my gun and shoot him," Strickland said when asked about a potential confrontation with Chimaev.
"I'll tell you what, that being said, if Chimaev were to come up to me as a gentleman and say, 'Hey, you know what? You said some things. You insulted my wife.
I actually love sheep, it's crazy,' then I would be like, 'I love goats, dude. Goat tastes good. ' He loves goats, we have that in common.
