When the microphone had some issues during the rendition of the Canadian national anthem on Tuesday night, the Sabres faithful found one voice and sang the song themselves. 'O Canada' sounded about as unified as could be just a handful of miles from the Canadian border. Momentarily, it was a scary moment for the anthem singer Cami Clune -- her microphone wasn't missing every word she sang, but most of them.

It's been a tradition in Buffalo for a half-century, so these fans certainly know what they're doing. Ironically, Clune's mic started working just fine for 'The Star Spangled Banner,' but yeah, the fans sang right along with that, too. The building was fired up all night, with the Sabres on the verge of winning a playoff series for the first time in almost two decades.
