Through the midst of a playoff run, beginning with their first round series against the Philadelphia 76ers , the Boston Celtics are still working to give back to the community of Boston. Along with Celtics legend Leon Powe and "Lucky" the Leprechaun, the team's mascot, 60 youth from the Boys and Girls Club of MetroWest and Boston Scientific employees participated in the 'Fit for a Cause' gym renovation. The renovation took place at the MetroWest in Marlborough, MA from January through March as a fitness program that encouraged Boston Scientific employees to be active, while changing their community for the better.

The Boys and Girls Club of MetroWest won the opportunity to work with Boston Scientific and the Celtics, choosing to renovate the facility's gym and looking to improve their education programs. โ€œFor the past 10 years, โ€˜Fit for a Causeโ€™ has enabled us to team up with the Celtics for some competitive fun while driving meaningful, long-lasting change in the communities where we live and work,โ€ said Mary Beth Moynihan, Senior Vice President, Corporate Affairs, Boston Scientific. โ€œYear after year, Iโ€™m inspired by the energy and enthusiasm of our young athletes and our employees who participate in this special program.

โ€ Boston Scientific has several community engagement initiatives, including 'Fit for a Cause' challenge, as they focus on bettering the health and education in communities worldwide. Listen to "Havlicek Stole the Pod" on: Blue Wire: https://tiny. ee/CdKp iTunes: https://tiny.
