Jonathan India has season-ending surgery
It has been a frustrating time for India in Kansas City.

India had been out since April 18 when he landed on the Injured List with a left shoulder subluxation. He injured the shoulder last June and missed time in July as well. He also missed a game in the season-opening series in Atlanta earlier this year due to shoulder issues.

313 in 17 games with the Royals this year. The injury may mark the end of India’s time in Kansas City, as he is eligible for free agency after the season. The Royals originally acquired him before the 2025 season from the Cincinnati Reds with outfielder Joey Wiemer in exchange for pitcher Brady Singer.
