Photo provided by Eddie Provident PITTSBURGH — The Pirates made their second roster swap of the day just before Tuesday night’s game against the St. Louis Cardinals. Right-handed pitcher Wilber Dotel was optioned to Triple-A Indianapolis and recalled left-handed Hunter Barco.
Dotel tossed four-perfect innings out of the bullpen in Monday’s loss to the Cardinals at PNC Park. The rookie right-hander totaled three appearances for the Pirates after he was recalled on April 19 and posted a 1. 35 ERA with two hits allowed, three walks and four strikeouts in 6.
