Kon Knueppel was a star as a one-and-done player for the Duke Blue Devils , and now with the NBA's Charlotte Hornets, he just missed winning Rookie of the Year to college teammate Cooper Flagg.

Now, Kon's younger brother Kager has a chance to follow in his footsteps. Duke has offered a scholarship to Kager Knueppel, with that news shared by his AAU team on social media: Congratulations to ā€˜27 6’10ā€ Kager Knueppel for adding an offer from @DukeMBB 🤩 The Jr Wing is shooting 54% from 3 after EYBL session 1 in ATL šŸ”„ pic. twitter.

com/UI2w7Oaa5l — Team Herro (@team_herro) April 28, 2026 Kager is completing his junior year of high school, so he'll have one more year at that level before going on to play college basketball. During the winter, Kager was listed at 6-foot-9, so that 6-10 mentioned above appears that he has continued growing -- much taller than his brother Kon. Kager is the second of five brothers, with the younger bros named Kinston, Kash and Kidman.

He plays for Wisconsin Lutheran during the school season, and he was known already during the winter to have picked up an offer from Purdue. Kager's first scholarship offer had come from Toledo -- he's the nephew of Rockets head coach Tod Kowalczyk. You've got to think Duke will be in the mix at the end, although it'll be up to Kager whether he wants to follow in Kon's footsteps or blaze his own trail.
