Yashasvi Jaiswal continued his impressive run in IPL 2026, scoring yet another half-century for Rajasthan Royals and entering an elite list in the franchise’s history. Rajasthan Royals arrived at Punjab Kings’ home ground in New Chandigarh for Match 40 and opted to bowl first after winning the toss. Punjab Kings responded with a commanding 222/4 in 20 overs, powered by a blistering late assault from Marcus Stoinis (62 off 22)* and a solid knock from Prabhsimran Singh (59).

PBKS got off to a flying start with Priyansh Arya attacking aggressively in the powerplay before being dismissed by Jofra Archer. Prabhsimran then anchored the innings, maintaining momentum through the middle overs and registering his fourth fifty of the season. Rajasthan briefly clawed back through Yash Raj Punia, who picked up two key wickets, but Stoinis’ explosive finish, highlighted by a 24-run final over, took the game away from the visitors.

Jaiswal Shines in the Chase In reply, Rajasthan Royals started aggressively, with Vaibhav Sooryavanshi smashing 43 off just 16 balls before falling early. Jaiswal then took charge, bringing up a well-crafted half-century before being dismissed on the very next delivery. He scored 51 off 27 balls, once again showcasing his consistency at the top.
