The FC Bayern star did not have a great statistical performance.

Unfortunately for Neuer, he set the kind of standard that no one wants to be associated with during his team’s 5-4 loss to Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League. Check out this stat below from ESPN: Manuel Neuer did not save a single shot vs. PSG.

He is the first goalkeeper in the last 16 UCL seasons to concede 5+ goals WITHOUT recording a single save in a KO stage match 😭 pic. twitter. com/v1lSZ6KnKc — ESPN FC (@ESPNFC) April 28, 2026 It was not a banner game for Neuer, but the veteran was far from the only player who scuffled against the high octane attack of PSG.

As expected, the entire backline was under consistent duress and Neuer was at the mercy of whether or not PSG’s vaunted attacking group was going to put their shots on frame. Unfortunately for Neuer, the shots that were on target were in places that he could not get to. A case could be made that Neuer guessed wrong in some instances, but PSG was ruthless and able to score just enough to pull out the victory.
